The Consumer Council of Norway
The Consumer Council of Norway is an independent government organisation representing the interests of consumers. Jarn has worked closely with them for more than two years, building an advanced intranet solution integrating many of the different services (both proprietary and open) defining IT platform – effectively providing massively improved access to information and communications for all their employees.
The Norwegian Archive, Library and Museum Authority (ABM-utvikling)
The Norwegian Archive, Library and Museum Authority is a public institution under the authority of the Ministry of Culture and Church Affairs. Jarn built them a new public website and intranet – both with special attention to accessibility and usability. This is a pioneer project in Norwegian government — the first public government tender that had specific demands to accessibility and Open Source software for the back-end.
Trolltech
Trolltech is a large and innovative Norwegian high-tech company making software faster to build and easier to use. Jarn has built their website, intranet and collaborative project spaces for improved internal communication, all in collaboration with their internal tech-team whom we coached during the process.
Simula Research Laboratories
Simula Research Laboratories performs high quality research, educates graduate university students and supports the establishment of business based on the research it conducts. Jarn built a publication database complete with advanced export support for academic formats like BibTEX, a public web site solution, and custom resource– and asset-management-applications for their intranet. We also supplied training for their in-house employees, who later participated in development and now manage the project it independently.
IBAS ASA Data Recovery
Jarn has provided IBAS with two generations of all their international web sites, trained and assisted their own staff in building an advanced in-house Plone-based intranet application to track data recovery cases using a workflow-driven approach. Jarn also developed secure payment gateways and advanced license key handling software for IBAS.
The Norwegian Media Authority (Medietilsynet)
The new combined council of Statens Medieforvaltning, Statens Filmtilsyn and Eierskapstilsynet. Jarn provided a rapid consolidation and integration of the three website into one coherent system where the employees publish content. We also finished and wrapped up their then-stagnant intranet project.
Petroleum Geo-Services (PGS)
PGS is one of the world's leading companies in seismic analysis and production in the oil sector, and employs 3 400 people. Jarn has provided training, custom design work, migration services and consultancy for their many Plone-based intranet solutions.
Defence Academy UK
Defence Academy UK provides the military with high-quality education and research services. Jarn has been a consultant for DA in various projects, the biggest of which are their intranet solutions.
Oxfam International
Oxfam is one of the world's most influential organizations fighting poverty and famine worldwide. Jarn was part of delivering their multilingual, multi-country intranet and public web sites as a Managing Partner of ZEA Partners. Jarn’s main responsibility in this project was to create LinguaPlone, now the de facto standard product for multilingual content in the Plone world. We also delivered training of in-house employees, and several of these are actively participating in both the project and Plone development in general.
Continental Airlines
Continental is the world's sixth largest airline. They use Plone internally in their organisation. Jarn provided training for their in-house development team.
Hitotsubashi University, Tokyo
Hitotsubashi University funded several generations of development of our flagship product for managing multilingual websites, LinguaPlone.
United Nations Development Program
The United Nations are using Plone in many diverse projects. The flexibility, ease of deployment and scalability combined with its very low cost of deployment makes for a perfect fit for a complex organisation with as diverse needs as the different branches of the United Nations. Jarn provides consulting and support services to the UNDP.
