Our Team
We have gathered some of the most skilled, experienced and respected Plone developers in the world to forge the best team possible.
Geir Bækholt
Geir does more communications than code these days, but has been part of the Plone project since its inception. He is responsible for a lot of the usability and styles work in Plone. Earlier he has worked with designing and securing large business-critical payment and membership solutions for tens of thousands of subscribers in the online gaming sector.
Alexander Limi
Alexander is one of the original Plone Founders. His main area of expertise is User Experience and Interaction Design. He is responsible for most of the user interface design of Plone. He also helped pioneer the use of multilingual interfaces in the Zope and Plone worlds and put accessibility on the agenda for open source web frameworks.
Alexander is currently on leave to work with the Mozilla Foundation. He is a member of the board of The Plone Foundation
Denys Mishunov
CSS guru of Plone fame. Builds elegant solutions for visual design and styling.
Martijn Pieters
Martijn is a veteran Zope developer with a long history in web applications, and a background at companies like Zope Corporation and Pareto (yes, he has written parts of Zope itself). He fled the rush-traffic of the hectic Netherlands for Norwegian wilderness and easy-going-way of life with his wife, kids and cats.
Laurence Rowe
Laurence enjoys the challenge in systems integration, from caching to databases and transforms. He is a member of the Plone 4 and 5 Framework Teams.
Hanno Schlichting
Hanno is one of the most prolific long term Plone Core developers. He serves as the Plone 5 release manager, has lead the internationalization team for many years and is responsible for managing the bug trackers. Before joining Jarn he worked as a technical consultant in the German health care industry for eight years. During his university studies he also worked as a freelancer providing general IT services to educational institutions.
Florian Schulze
Florian juggles the client-side and server-side technologies just as skilfully as the weapons he wields in the martial arts he practices in his spare time.
Helge Tesdal
Helge loves doing the complex heavy things most application developers hate doing: indexing algorithms, caching solutions and things that require a deep understanding of math. Helge has a Master's degree from the Norwegian University of Science and Technology. Earlier employers include Sun Microsystems and Copyleft Software. He is known for exceedingly elegant solutions to complex problems, and is responsible for most of LinguaPlone and some of the specialized indexing algorithms developed for Plone.
